Mykola Tomenko: The President shall immediately sign the Law on the Allocation of Funds for fighting Flu Epidemic
Today, during the briefing in the Parliament, Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, has highly appreciated the consolidation of the Parliament and Government regarding the immediate actions aimed at the epidemic overcoming.
As an example of a responsible approach, M. Tomenko named the Bill on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On State Budget of Ukraine for 2009" (Reg.№5301) that envisages extra financing at the rate of UAH 1 billion adopted on 3 November after the report of Yu.Tymoshenko in the Verkhovna Rada.
"Adoption to this Law is an example of being responsible for the country and understanding for the situation that the country faced. 401 People´s Deputies voted for it adoption that is total consolidation of the Parliament", - M. Tomenko stressed.
"Today fighting against influenza and people´s life it is not a contest of economic sharp wits but responsible, rapid and effective work of all the power branches and the interests of country", - the Vice-Chairman proclaimed.
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reminded that the Parliament managed to pass one more important document on 4 November, namely, the Resolution registered by the Party of Regions on immediate actions against the spreading of pandemic influenza in Ukraine, in the text of which all the propositions of all the factions were taken into the consideration. The Resolution was upheld by 424 votes.
"It can be declared that today the Parliament and the Government are unanimous regarding the fighting with the dangerous diseases. One more question is still left, on what side is Viktor Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine", - M. Tomenko concluded.
